We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and abilities but do specify that they must be at least 14 years of age, and physically able to undertake a voluntary role within the Lakelands organisation. No formal qualifications are required, all we ask is that our volunteers are enthusiastic, reliable, flexible, are patient and have a good sense of humour.

On completion of the Lakelands application form, we request the details of two individuals who we approach for references and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be made on each applicant where appropriate.
