Lakelands Day Care Hospice was set up as a direct response to the needs of local Corby people living with cancer, heart failure and other life-limiting illnesses.
I am proud to share that I have recently been promoted into the role of Hospice Manager at Lakelands. Having previously served as Nurse Manager, I feel incredibly honoured to now lead our dedicated team in delivering the highest standard of compassionate care.
With passion and commitment at the heart of everything I do, I am focused on driving positive change, enhancing our services, and making sure more people in our community know about the incredible support we offer. This is an exciting new chapter, and I’m looking forward to building on the strong foundations already in place to ensure Lakelands continues to be a place of comfort, dignity, and care.
I Joined the Lakelands team in 2010 as a Hospice at Home nurse. I now work in the day hospice as Sister and coordinate the Hospice at Home service. I have loved every minute of working in such an amazing place alongside my wonderful work family.
I joined Lakelands in 2016 and thoroughly enjoy my job. I feel extremely privileged to work alongside an experienced, dedicated team of nurses who care for patients with compassion and empathy. I continue to build on my knowledge and skills and look forward to coming into work every day.
I have been here 17yrs which I think is a testament to how much I love my job at the hospice. Being able to interact with the patients who sees us as their lifeline makes me honored to provide and care for their needs in a comfortable setting. Working with a great team of nurses, volunteers, fundraisers and other health professionals has made this job the best in the world.
