The team from the Chief Security Office at Lloyds Banking Group based in London, Essex and Brighton came to Lakeland’s Hospice on Wednesday 3rd July as their individual contribution to the Lloyds Banking Group “A day to make a difference” Scheme. This Scheme encourages Lloyd’s banking Group staff to participate in a volunteering programme enabling everyone to spend at least one day per year volunteering for a charity or community project of their choice. Lakeland’s Hospice were lucky enough to be chosen as this team’s charity and to make a difference in a community setting.

This hard working team consisting of Chris, Dave, Mike and Fran cut back hedges, tidied borders and generally worked their magic in the hospice grounds, and easily met Irene & Alan’s “hedge challenge”. We are so pleased (and relieved) that the sun shone throughout the day. This is the second year the team have supported us, so on behalf of the patients, staff and volunteers we would like to say a huge thank you for supporting us again, it is very much appreciated.
