13th Aug 2018

12 enthusiastic and hard-working individuals from the Chief Security Office at Lloyds Banking Group based in London, Halifax and Brighton came to Lakeland’s Hospice on Friday 10th August as their individual contribution to the Lloyds Banking Group “A day to make a difference” scheme. This scheme encourages Lloyd’s staff to participate in a volunteering programme enabling everyone to spend at least one day per year volunteering for a charity or community project of their choice. Lakeland’s Hospice were lucky enough to be chosen as this team’s charity and to make a difference in a community setting. The team repainted the patient’s dayroom and corridor area which involved the preparation of the rooms, moving furniture and wall decorations, painting walls and putting everything back in place for our patients to return on Monday morning to a lovely refreshed environment. On behalf of the patients, staff and volunteers we would like to say a huge thank you to every one of you for supporting us, it is very much appreciated.
