The Hollowell Steam Rally Trust warmly invited Marina our Community Fundraiser and Sue Humber, one of our amazing volunteers’ along to their annual event where they generously donate monies to numerous charities, community groups and parish councils.
It was Marina and Sue’s first visit to this wonderful occasion; they were both completely blown away by the members of the Hollowell Steam Rally committee and how many groups were represented on the night.
The Trust is quite unique in that their committee members work tirelessly throughout the year to host their annual 2-day steam rally and heavy horse show event, this event will be in its 34th year in 2020!! Everything the committee raises is donated to local charities, community groups and parish councils. The groups and charities they support is so varied, Marina stated ‘I was so overwhelmed by the generosity of the committee, so many hours they commit to their event, for no personal gain, their aim and reward being to simply help support others’.
Lakelands generously received a whopping £400 donation on the night, Marina and Sue enjoyed a delicious buffet also catered for by the committee which they thoroughly enjoyed.
A massive thank you to every member of the Hollowell Steam Rally Trust committee for your generosity and commitment to Lakelands Hospice, we applaud you all for your hard work and dedication to supporting so many charities and groups. To us you are all #lakelandslegends
Save the date in your diary – Hollowell Steam Rally and Heavy Horse Show will be held on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2020.
