Our firewalk challenge was once again totally amazing….

20 firewalk angels signed up to brave the coals and complete our firewalk challenge, after a motivation seminar they fire walked with Diane Gower and her amazing team.

16 people rose to our #challenge581 and fire walked for Lakelands Hospice, we also offered places to local charities too and can proudly say we have supported The Royal British Legion and Maplefield Circles of Friends, helping them raise much needed funds for their causes too.

We were both honoured and humbled to have Liz Harries as a firewalk angel, Liz firewalked on behalf of Lakelands Hospice and the Royal British Legion.  It was a very poignant moment as it was also the 75th Anniversary of the D Day landings, very fitting that she and everyone who attended the firewalk took a moment to remember all the servicemen and women who have sadly lost their lives for our freedom.

A massive thank you to Nils of  https://www.facebook.com/nils.fotopositief/  for once again being our photographer for the night, you truly captured the action, buzz and atmosphere of the firewalk.  Also thank you to Keith at the Grampian for hosting the event, Paula of Paula’s Diner for providing hot food and to Andy Malcolmson for providing California Disco and to our amazing team of volunteers for their hard work on the night.

Our firewalkers are now busily collecting in their sponsorship, so the total amount raised will be announced in a couple of weeks.

If you are inspired and would like to join our firewalk Angels 2020 team to fundraise for Lakelands Hospice or your own charity, please send an email to marinarae@alakelandshospice.org.uk and we will email you early next year.

Congratulations to all our firewalkers for #makingadifference, we hope the amazing firewalk experience will be a memory that will last a lifetime – you are all Lakelands Legends!
