Diagnostic Tea Bar

6th Dec 2019

A team of dedicated volunteers who run the tea bar based in the Diagnostic Centre near the Boating Lake kindly presented our community fundraiser Marina with a cheque for a whopping £1000.

The Corby Diagnostic Tea Bar is run entirely by volunteers, and profits are used to buy equipment and resources for the various departments in the Willowbrook complex and Community Hospital.  The group decided they wanted to donate to a local cause, and it was unanimously agreed that Lakelands Hospice would be their choice!

The tea bar is open 5 days a week from 9.30am – 4pm (except Fridays where they close at 11.30am).  They sell tea, coffee, soft drinks and wrapped snacks such as; flapjacks, crisps, cakes and a variety of sweets and chocolates.  Anyone using the facilities within the complex are welcome to pop in for a cuppa, they even sell second-hand books at 50p each!

A massive thank you to all the volunteers at The Corby Diagnostic Tea Bar for your generosity towards Lakelands Hospice.  Your wonderful donation will enable our dedicated nurses to continue delivering high quality nursing care to patients and their families living in the Corby borough community.
