Callum Reilly, Ruth Adams and the members of the Chordless Corby Choir presented Paul our Fundraising Manager with a cheque for a whopping £1,200.00.

Callum and Ruth opened the doors of St Ninians Church, Corby back in November 2018, as they wanted to create a fun choir for local people who are enthusiastic about singing, whether they could reach the high notes, or no notes at all. The response to this amazing choir has been fantastic, with over 100 people of all ages signing up.

The choir has gone from strength to strength and they are now getting booked for public events. They will be singing at out Light Up a Life service in Willow Place (outside Boots) on Thursday 21st November and at our annual Christmas Fete, being held this year at The Grampian Club on Sunday 24th November.

Our very own Community Fundraiser Marina joined on the opening night last year, she openly admits she can’t sing a note, but being part of the choir, she blends in with everyone. Marina commented that she loves her choir, she has met lots of lovely people and leaves every session feeling uplifted.

If you would like to join Chordless Corby just pop along to St Ninians Church, Beanfield Avenue every Wednesday for 7:15pm, starts at 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome and your first week is free! Thereafter a small fee of £3.50 per week, which includes refreshments.

A massive well-done Callum and Ruth for creating Chordless Corby and for raising such an amazing sum of money for Lakelands Hospice.
