Our Community Fundraiser Marina received a very generous cheque of £2000, raised from a memorial Golf Day held in memory of the late, Alie Reid which took place at Priors Hall Golf Club with an after party hosted by the Grampian. The day itself raised a very impressive £1942.00, the committee of the Grampian generously donated a further £58.00 to bring the total to a whopping £2000.
This is the third memorial golf day to be held in Alie’s memory, a much-loved husband, father, brother and friend to so many people and is missed greatly be everyone who knew him. The golf day was organised by Gary Adams, Willie Farrell and Andy Pringle with the buffet being catered by Liz Reid (Alie’s wife) and the girls with the golf day supported by the Par 4 Boys. Craig Palmer from the Grampian braved the shave and had all his hair shaved off and his eyebrows too!!
Liz stated that she was overwhelmed with how many people participated again this year and the wonderful array of prizes donated to the raffle, a real testament to just how much Alie was loved by all his family and friends.

Thank you Liz, Gary, Willie and Andy we are incredibly humbled by your donation and the appreciation you have towards our amazing team of hospice at home nurses for the care and support they gave to Alie and Liz in the last few days of Alie’s life.
Your amazing generosity will enable our team of highly qualified nurses to continue supporting more patients through the final days of their lives with dignity, in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by their loved ones.
