SMALL MONTHLY GIFTS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE...

Big hugs for regular givingEvery year we help families in our community whose lives have been affected by serious illness.

This invaluable work is exclusively funded by the generous support we get from our local community.

And one of the best ways to support Lakelands Hospice is by setting-up a regular gift.

Skydive for Charity

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to fly, then dont delay, take up this challenge of a lifetime!

Strapped to a qualified instructor, you will jump from over 10,000 feet and reach speeds of up to 140mph before the instructor opens your parachute at around 5,000 feet to bring you safely back down to the ground. Apparently you may even get to control the canopy yourself !

The event is very well organised and the instructors are all very experienced skydivers.

@Wishart87 That was the best thing I have ever done, thanks for organising! Wooooooo parachute power!!!!

@Stoner_munkee Just want to say thank you for giving me a chance to do something so awesome! I'll jump out of a plane for you anytime!

@dinpy We were lied to, it was 12,000 ft, not 10,000! #likeitmatters More freefalling fun at 12,000ft :-D

How Much?

You can jump for free! All we ask is that you raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship for Lakelands Hospice.

When?

Our team sykdive is taking place on 18th August 2012 please register your interest by contacting a member of the fundraising team This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 01536 747755.

Can I jump on a different date?

Yes, you can book to jump in aid of Lakelands Hospice as an individual or with a group of friends at anytime with UK Parachuting, Sibson, Peterborough. But you may miss out on the special shared community experience that our "Team Skydive" has.

What are the age limits?

The minimum age is 16 years old with parent/guardians consent or 18 years old without. There is no upper age limit however if you are over 40 years old or over on the day of your skydive your BPA Medical Declaration Form must be signed and stamped by your GP. No one is too old to skydive, in fact they have taken many people in their 80’s on skydives! Let’s face it you only live once and are never too old to have fun!

Can I have a video of my jump?

Yes! If you choose to do a tandem jump, you can have it filmed. This will be at an extra cost, around £100 depending on what package you choose. Filming of your skydive must not be paid for out of your fundraising monies, you must pay for this yourself.
