At the Hospice
 

  • Handy People. Handy volunteers required in helping to set up events and dismantling afterwards which may involve general DIY skills & lifting.

  • Gardeners. Help required within our extensive grounds at the Hospice. Days and times to suit.

  • Qualified Hairdressers are required to offer patients support/ opportunity of having their hair washed and styled. Unisex.

  • Minibus Driver/ Driver (Fridays All Day / Holiday Cover) to collect and return patients to their homes within a 20 mile radius of Corby.  Refueling & general maintenance of vehicle.  Also to drive our van, transporting goods between our Hospice, Emporium and Warehouse. Must have D/D1 on driving licence.

  • Shopper Required 7.30am Mondays. To take the Chef shopping and helping to put all food away. Own car can be used or Lakelands van.

Volunteer Open  26th January

Fundraising

  • Leaflet Distributors. Required on an occasional basis within Corby town centre

  • Poster Runners. We are looking for people who can put up our campaign and events posters within their community.

  • Prize Hunters. An individual(s) to carry out follow up visits to local companies in order to acquire raffle prizes. Fundraisers will be sending out letters to the companies first.

  • Support for fundraising events. Individuals are required to help our Fundraising team prepare for our events, collecting and delivering of items, marshaling, helping on registration, making goods for sale, manning stalls or becoming a member of the Lakelands Loonies and taking part in fun events! The list is endless.......... These roles are ideal for those in full time employment who would like to help but do not have the time on a weekly basis.

  • Box Collectors: to support Lakelands approximately once a month for a couple of hours in the local supermarket.

  • Lakelands Ambassadors: to inform the public on the good work Lakelands does.

 

At the Emporium (various days and times available)

  • Stock room assistants needed to help sort incoming clothes and goods ready for sale in the shop.

  • Cafe support to assist serving customers by taking orders, payment, moving food from the kitchen to the customer. Clearing and cleaning of tables.

  • Shop floor assistants to help ensure the main shop is clean and tidy, serving customers who wish to purchase and other general duties.

 

At the Warehouse (various days and times available)

  • Warehouse assistants to help sort incoming goods ready for sale. Some furniture repair for talented individuals! Various times available.

  • Sales assistant (as above but also selling of goods) Must be confident.

  • Van driver required to drive the Lakelands van collecting and delivering goods. Also general warehouse duties. May be some heavy lifting.
