Our team of 13 crazy skydiving fundraisers took to the skies at Sibson Airfield, Peterborough on Saturday 20th August and togeather raised an amazing £5586.

We are so proud of them all, not only did our skydivers have to take on the challenge of jumping 12,000 feet out of a plane, they also worked really hard in raising the sponsorship that was required, in many cases far exceeding their goals.

Every penny of that money shall be going to Lakelands Hospice, and will be helping to make a difference to the lives of people in our community living with life-limiting illnesses.

We really are so thankful for the skydivers who took on this challenge and those who kindly supported them.

It was a day to remember with lots of mixed emotions and some really lovely community spirit. They were all brave soldiers and all seem to be raring to jump again next year!! Well nearly all of them! :-)

Lakelands skydiving challenge is an annual group event, and we are already looking for new jumpers for 2012.
